The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This week we're highlighting a brave girl who saved Goku when he was a kid, Suno!

A young girl that resides in Jingle Village, a place where the people are as kind as the weather outside is cold.
The power-hungry Red Ribbon Army attacks Suno's village, takes the mayor hostage in their Muscle Tower base, and forces Suno's father and other villagers to search for the Dragon Balls.

When Goku says that he is searching for the Dragon Balls, Suno mistakes him as being part of the Red Ribbon Army.
Her concerns are quickly alleviated when Goku makes quick work of some Red Ribbon Army goons that try to invade her home, and she is amazed at the incredible strength possessed by this mysterious boy.

Goku succeeds in saving the mayor and even befriends the kind-hearted Android 8, and they have a feast at Suno's house to celebrate. Suno is amazed at the young Saiyan's appetite.
She even has a sleepover with Goku and their brand-new mechanical ally.

We get to see Suno all grown up!

We see Suno again at the very end of the Majin Buu Saga when Mr. Satan calls on the inhabitants to Earth to share their energy so that Goku can complete his Genki-dama and defeat Majin Buu. Suno is only too happy to help her old friend and eagerly throws both of her arms to the sky to give her energy to Goku.
Even more surprising is how Suno had become a beautiful, energetic young woman in the twenty-odd years since she first met Goku in Jingle Village!
