The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This week, we shine the spotlight on Toninjinka, a lagomorphic crime boss with a keen fashion sense who wields one of the most terrifying powers in all of Dragon Ball!
Toninjinka is the boss of the Rabbit Mob, a criminal organization that terrorizes villages.
Don't let his fluffy appearance deceive you: one touch is all it takes for this rabbit rapscallion to turn anyone he meets into a carrot!
(Tale 17)
When Goku and company defy the Rabbit Mob's henchmen and attempt to free a village under their control, Toninjinka arrives on the scene to show them who's boss.
He tries to get Bulma to shake his hand, but she refuses and slaps it away. That instant of physical contact is all it takes though, and Bulma is transformed into a carrot!
(Tale 17)
Toninjinka takes the carrot-ified Bulma hostage and proceeds to gang up on Goku, threatening to eat her if the young Saiyan doesn't do as he's told. Fortunately, Pual saves the day by transforming into a bird and snatching Bulma back from the clutches of the bunny boss!
Yamcha suddenly appears and makes quick work of the Rabbit Mob henchmen, and Goku lands a powerful overhead strike on Toninjinka using his trusty Nyoibo.
(Tale 17)
After returning Bulma to her human form, Goku extends Nyoibo out to an unfathomable length to send Toninjinka and his underlings off to the moon to reenact a famous Japanese children's story.

"Dragon Ball" Tale 17
Carrotification
The user transforms their target into a carrot by making physical contact with them. The villagers under the control of the Rabbit Mob were so terrified of falling victim to this technique that they were forced to do Toninjinka's bidding.
The Carrotification technique can be undone if the user claps their hands twice while saying "Okay!" out loud.
He even has a stylish, rabbit themed ride!
Toninjinka rushes to his henchmen's aid in his favorite form of transportation, a specially made, rabbit themed car!
His vehicle of choice clearly shows an obsession with the rabbit form and features ears, paws, and a fluffy tail. It even has the kanji for "Rabbit" written on the door.

Preview: Next week's character also has an animal-like appearance!
