Story

As part of his plan for world conquest, Great Demon King Piccolo used his incredible physiology to spit out an egg containing the cruel and merciless Tambourine, another member of the Demon Clan.
The Demon King feared being sealed away again by a martial artist, so he sends Tambourine on a mission to attack the fighters at the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament grounds.
Tambourine kills Krillin during this attack and then steals the Tenkaichi Budokai Participants' Name List and the Dragon Ball that Goku had in his possession.

Tambourine gets the order to take out any other martial artists that might get in the way of his master's plans of world domination, so he ruthlessly hunts down warriors on the Tenkaichi Budokai Participants' Name List one by one. He leaves a calling card of sorts after slaying each fighter—a piece of paper with the "Ma" or "Demon" mark to let the world know of the Demon King's might.

Tambourine goes on to defeat Namu and Giran before turning his crosshairs on his seventh target, Yamcha, when he learns that his demonic warrior brother Cymbal has been defeated by an unknown foe...

Tambourine goes to investigate, and runs into a completely recovered Goku at the place of his sibling's demise!
When the two meet again, Tambourine starts out cocky since he'd made short work of Goku in their last encounter, and even taunts his opponents, saying, "Make it 'snotty little fool' if you plan to fight me again! Or should that be suicidal little fools?"
Things are different this time, however, and Goku, now back at full strength, delivers a devastating blow to the Demon Clan warrior.

Terrified at Goku's true power, Tambourine attempts to flee into the sky, but Goku uses his trusty Nyoibo to catch up and blasts him with a point-blank Kamehameha that reduces Tambourine to dust.

Mouth Energy Wave

Tambourine charges Ki and then fires it from his mouth in the form of a powerful beam. He used this technique to destroy Goku's Kintoun and later again when at the brink of death during his second bout with Goku, but that time the Saiyan lad managed to evade it with ease.

He's an elite warrior among the demons created by Great Demon King Piccolo!

Even when compared to the other Demon Clan fighters created by Great Demon King Piccolo, Tambourine is a cut above the rest! He's several times stronger than his sibling Cymbal, even though the latter was hatched later on! Tambourine was even powerful enough to quickly break out of Giran's Lassooin' Gum technique, a feat that gave even Goku quite a bit of trouble.
