S.H.Figuarts 15th GALLERY: PART 2 On Now! New Figure Exhibition Report!!
The action figure series S.H.Figuarts is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year in 2023!
To celebrate, they're holding a special anniversary event called S.H.Figuarts 15th GALLERY: PART 2, which features a summary of the label's history since its inception in 2008 as well as exhibits showing off their latest creations!
We went down to TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO in Tokyo's Akihabara district to see the latest Dragon Ball figures on display at the S.H.Figuarts exhibit!
S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Trunks -Infinite Latent Super Power-
The anniversary event was accompanied by the long-awaited release of S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Trunks -Infinite Latent Super Power-! This is the version of Trunks from when he emerged from training in the Room of Spirit and Time and sparred against Vegeta!
The key feature of this new figure is its faithful coloring inspired by the source material!
We love the way the pearl tone used for his hair helps to convey his surging Ki and express the dazzling, radiant power of a Super Saiyan!
S.H.Figuarts Android 19
S.H.Figuarts Android 19 is available for preorder on Premium Bandai's Tamashii Web Store right now! The one we saw at the exhibit had been customized with its included swappable parts to make the Android look like it did after being dismantled by Vegeta.
Of course, you can have your Android 19 looking in tip-top shape with the standard parts included in the set, which incidentally also comes with a range of fantastic alternate facial expression parts! Orders close at 11 pm on April 30, 2023 (JST), so be sure to get in fast if you want one for your collection!

Tons of New Figures On Display!
Joining Super Saiyan Trunks and Android 19 at the exhibit was a whole range of new Dragon Ball series figures from S.H.Figuarts!
The photographs above are from the display showing off the S.H.Figuarts Goku Effect Parts Set, which is a set of additional parts that can be fitted to Goku in order to recreate battle scenes from the original series! They really do add more excitement to the scenes you can make!
And other than the figures, there's one more section of the exhibit we'd be remiss not to highlight: the Goku wall artwork!
Take a closer look and...
...you'll see that it's actually a collage of artworks from S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball series boxes!
There are actually some artworks from boxes of preorder figures that haven't even been unveiled yet scattered throughout! Try finding them if you can!
The 15-Year History of S.H.Figuarts!
Next we went over to the S.H.Figuarts 15th Anniversary History Corner, where we got to see the first-ever release from the series: S.H.Figuarts Piccolo!! It seems that even way back then, S.H.Figuarts were already shaking up the posable figure game with their crossed arm parts and setting the tone for their dedication to faithfully recreating moments from the source material.
TAMASHII NATIONS WORLD TOUR -TAMASHII NATIONS 15th ANNIVERSARY- Commemorative Items
This is S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Goku -Exclusive Edition-, a special commemorative figure released to celebrate the "TAMASHII NATIONS WORLD TOUR -TAMASHII NATIONS 15th ANNIVERSARY-" event!
First scheduled for April 28-30 in New York, USA, the tour event is set to go worldwide and visit five cities around the globe, and this special Super Saiyan Goku figure is available at all of them! The combination of his torn up uniform and fierce, stalwart expression looks positively incredible!
