The sixth chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga's new SUPER HERO arc is being published in the super-sized August edition of V Jump that's hitting shelves in Japan on Wednesday, June 21!!
The events of the Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO movie are now unfolding in the manga! On that note, let's take a look back at what's happened so far in the SUPER HERO arc!

Inspired by their favorite superhero, Trunks and Goten decide to become the superheroes Saiyaman X1 and X2 while also continuing their lives as high school students.
After solving a case one day, Trunks comes into possession of a mysterious disk belonging to Dr. Hedo, which leads to our half-Saiyan heroes battling it out with the devious doctor and his Android creations.
After a series of fierce battles, Trunks and his allies manage to defeat Dr. Hedo and send him off to jail.

Later on, Magenta, the leader of the Red Ribbon Army who is scheming to resurrect the wicked organization, gets in contact with the newly released Dr. Hedo and asks him to join their nefarious cause. Intrigued by their proposal to come create the ultimate Android, Dr. Hedo accepts!
6 months pass, and we see that Piccolo has been spending his days teaching Gohan's daughter Pan how to fight. It is at this time that Gamma 2, a mysterious individual bearing the mark of the Red Ribbon Army on the shoulder of his uniform, appears and attacks Piccolo while he is training by himself in the wilderness.

Piccolo feigns his own demise and uses the attack as an opportunity to track Gamma 2 back to the enemy's headquarters and infiltrate inside!
While there, he uncovers the Red Ribbon Army's terrifying plan for world conquest and wastes no time rushing into action!
Piccolo begins planning step by step to protect the Earth and starts by going to pick up some Senzu Beans and getting Bulma to contact Goku and Vegeta. However, all attempts to reach the Saiyans are unsuccessful...

Now determined to fight on the frontlines himself, Piccolo goes to Dende and asks the guardian of Earth to unlock his hidden potential.
Things don't quite go according to plan, but ultimately Dende helps to "upgrade" Shenron so that the dragon gains the power to grant power-ups!

Piccolo heads back to Capsule Corporation where Bulma has already gathered all seven of the Dragon Balls and succeeds in getting Shenron to unlock his latent potential!
And to top it all off, Shenron even throws in a little "extra" as a bonus.
With all these preparations in place, Piccolo decides not to ask for Goku's help in the upcoming conflict and heads back to the Red Ribbon Army base by himself.

As for Goku and Vegeta's whereabouts, they are currently far, far away on Beerus' Planet busy undergoing some intense training! And what's more, Broly, past foe to Goku and Vegeta and fellow Saiyan survivor, is there as well!
Why, you ask? Well, since Frieza is still searching for Broly for his own nefarious reasons, Goku figured that the safest place to train would be the personal planet of the God of Destruction.
Blissfully unaware of everything happening back on Earth, the three Saiyan warriors focus on their training and becoming stronger than ever before.

Back on our planet, Piccolo manages to once again infiltrate the enemy's headquarters and learns who their next target will be.
With Goku and Vegeta missing, the Red Ribbon Army decides to target Gohan instead and kidnap his daughter, Pan!
While the enemy is deciding who to send on this nefarious mission, Piccolo thinks fast and gets them to let him tag along!
Later, while they are en route to go abduct Pan, Piccolo comes up his own cunning plan to use the kidnapping as a way to unleash Gohan's true strength, but will his idea succeed...?
