The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This week we are taking a look at a dastardly devil who's deadly in a duel, Akkuman!

Story

Akkuman is the fourth warrior our heroes face at Uranai Baba's Palace.
He's a mighty fighter with two Tenkaichi Budokai championships under his belt.

Akkuman faces off against Goku after the boy defeats Miira Kun in the third round.
He unleashes a flurry of high-speed attacks on Goku, but the boy evades them all easily and lands a potent counterattack in response.

Goku's punch almost sends Akkuman careening out of bounds, but he manages to fly back using his bat-like wings.

Once back in the ring, Akkuman asks if Goku really expected to beat him so easily, to which the lad responds, "Naw! I was just testing you!" Furious, Akkuman unleashes his Beam of Evil technique, which can cause even the smallest drop of evil in a person's heart to expand and expand the point that it blows them to bits! It hits Goku head on, but shockingly has no effect!

With his prized attack rendered useless, Akkuman produces a wicked looking pitchfork and uses it to attack the young Saiyan, but Goku dodges and retaliates with a kick that puts the dark devil down for the count.

Beam of Evil

This attack causes the evil contained in the target's heart to expand and blow them into smithereens.

Trivia

He's the captain of Uranai Baba's forces and usually only comes out in the fifth round!

Akkuman serves as the captain of Uranai Baba's collection of spooky supernatural combatants and comes out in the fifth and final round. He only comes out in the fourth round and fights because Goku's adoptive grandfather Gohan had specially returned from the afterlife just for the occasion.
