Later, Gohan also comes to meet the Saichoro, but the nefarious Vegeta is hot on his tail. So, Nail blocks Vegeta in order to buy time for the Saichoro to bring out Gohan's latent abilities.

Under the Saichoro's orders, he leaves to help Krillin and the others fight against the Ginyu Force. However, he gets a bad feeling about things and rushes back to the Saichoro, only to find Frieza there!

Frieza had come to ask about how to use the Dragon Balls to grant his wish, but Nail refuses, stating that he "cannot tell one who is evil."
He also warns the tyrant that if the Saichoro is killed, the Dragon Balls will disappear.

In an attempt to protect the Saichoro, Nail leads Frieza to removed location to fight.
Nail lands a brutal strike on Frieza's neck, but is shocked to find that the attack has no effect! Frieza then responds by effortlessly ripping off Nail's right forearm in a stunning show of power.
Nail uses his Namekian cells to quickly regenerate the limb and continues challenging Frieza, but his valiant efforts ultimately end in defeat...

Dende was able to reach Krillin and the others thanks to the time that Nail bought while stalling Frieza, and our heroes' plan to revive Piccolo and bring him to Namek using the Dragon Balls was a success.
Nail pleads with Piccolo to take down Frieza, and through Assimilation, joins with the reincarnation of the Demon King and grants him amazing power.

By comparison, Vegeta only had a Power Level of 24,000 when he defeated Kyewi on Planet Namek. They don't call Nail a warrior-type for nothing!
