The "Weekly ☆ Character Showcase" is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. With this being the first entry in the series, there’s no better place to start than at the start with the lovable Son Goku as he appears in the Goku Training Arc!

Story

An innocent monkey-tailed wild child, Goku was found and raised by martial artist Son Gohan in the Goku Training Arc.
Goku possessed super-human strength but was extremely naïve due to his isolated upbringing in the mountains. Until he met Bulma, he hadn't even seen a girl or a motorcycle before! Goku's Four-Star Dragon Ball, a keepsake from the late Son Gohan, is what led to his fateful encounter with Bulma, as she was tracking its signal on her Dragon Radar. He then decided to join her as a bodyguard on her journey to find the other Dragon Balls.

Goku and Krillin underwent harsh training under Kamesennin and eventually competed in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai.
