Story

King Cold is the father of the galactic emperor, Frieza.
Appearance-wise he looks quite a bit like Frieza's Second Form, but is much larger in size.
After Frieza is defeated on Planet Namek, King Cold rescues his son from death's door and uses some amazing technology to restore him, bestowing Frieza with a half-mechanical body and making him even stronger than before!
Following this, the father-son duo head to Earth to exact their revenge.

While Frieza wants to exterminate all the residents of Earth, his father is hellbent on taking out the Super Saiyan that defeated his son, boasting that "Our clan must always be the most powerful in the cosmos".

Shortly after the duo arrives on Earth, Future Trunks sweeps in and takes out all of Frieza's underlings. King Cold seems unbothered and even condescendingly praises the young warrior, saying "Ho... Not bad...". Things then take a shocking turn when Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan and makes mincemeat out of Frieza with his sword!

King Cold convinces Trunks to show him the sword by goading him and asking, "May I see it?"
Once he has the sword in hand, he calmly examines the blade and comments, "Yes... It has a fine edge on it... It was this that enabled you to defeat Frieza, don’t you think?" before suddenly attacking the half-Saiyan!

But Trunks blocks the strike with just one hand and finishes off King Cold with a point-blank Energy Wave!
