The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. For this installment, we're taking a look at the nefarious Bido from the feature film "Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound"!
Bido is one of Bojack's wicked henchmen that assist him in his bid at total universal conquest.
He teams up with Gokua, Zangya, and Bujin to try to take over Earth, and brags that his boss Bojack "has no equal".
He and his teammates infiltrate the Great Tenkaichi Budokai on Bojack's orders, and it is here that Bido brutally assaults another tournament participant named Doskoi in the desert Battle Zone.
Sensing that something is up with the tourney, Yamcha jumps in to help, but even the master of the Wolf Fang Fist finds himself defeated by a tag-team strike by Bido and Zangya.
And that is just the start, as once Bojack and his gang's invasion truly gets underway, Bido launches a devastating energy blast at Gohan that sends everything nearby flying!
During the intense scuffle, Trunks tries to take the fight to Bojack, only to find himself sealed in place by Bujin! Bido tries to impale him, but thankfully Vegeta arrives just in the nick of time to thwart the creation of this sinister Saiyan shish kebab!
Once Bojack begins facing off against Gohan, Bido and co. capture the young half-Saiyan warrior in their Psycho Thread technique and drain his strength, putting the defenders of Earth in a real pickle!
However, the tables turn once Goku uses Teleportation to temporarily travel to Earth from Another World and assist his son, which gives Gohan the final push he needs to transform into his Super Saiyan 2 form!
Bido and Bujin try to seal the awakened Gohan, but his power is too great, leading to both henchmen getting torn in half by some mighty blows from Earth's last line of defense.

Bido and his buddy get their names from the Japanese phrase Gokuaku Hido!
Gokua and Bido get their names from the Japanese words Gokuaku and Hido, which mean "fiendish" and "monstrous", respectively! We'd say that sums these two up perfectly!
