Story

Gregory is a bug-like being who spends his days on the Planet of Kaio North.
This intelligent insect helps out Kaio North where he can, and is known for minding his manners and respecting his elders.

After successfully catching Bubbles the monkey and thus passing Kaio North's first test, Goku doubts Kaio North's abilities, saying, "He can’t be a martial arts master!" Naturally, this earns Gregory's ire.

Things are only made worse when Goku refers to Gregory as "a little grasshopper man". This prompts Gregory to volunteer as Goku's opponent for the next test, while also questioning Kaio North's judgment, saying, "You'll take on just about anyone these days, won't you?"
Kaio North promises that if Goku manages to hit Gregory with a hammer in this trial, he will personally take on Goku as his student.

At first, Goku struggles and is no match for Gregory's supersonic speed.
However, after two weeks, Goku at last gets up to speed and Gregory gets the hammer.

Gregory is full of pride and loves to put on a tough guy act!

After giving Gregory a light tap with the hammer, Goku asks, "That wasn't too bad, was it, Gregory?"
Gregory responds, "What is that, a joke? Come on, my body is in super condition! You couldn’t hurt me with that thing if you tried!" all the while hiding the sizeable lump on his head.
