HG Dragon Ball 01 GOKU EDITION is blasting into Gashapon® corners soon! This exciting new series is scheduled to roll out in Japan in the last two weeks of July.

At long last, the HG Dragon Ball series has returned!
In this thrilling first installment, the various forms Goku achieved through fierce battles have been recreated as high-quality figures!
For just 500 yen, you can get your hands on one of these super detailed Gashapon® figures, each of which stands approx. 10 cm tall!

The level of quality these figures boast has to be seen to be believed, so we borrowed some samples to do just that! In addition, we talked to the person in charge of reviving this fan-favorite series to hear what they focused on while developing these hot new items!

First up, let's take a look at the Super Saiyan Goku figure.
This figure represents Goku as he battled to the bitter end against Frieza on Planet Namek, and he looks absolutely stunning here!

For example, check out how awesome Goku's ripped pants and leg muscles look!
It's clear how much hard work went into accurately recreating his look from the original series!

To compare, we took a picture of this figure next to the manga volume that depicts the first time Goku went Super Saiyan, and we were stunned at how authentic the figure looked!
Having the chance to get a version of Goku that looks like it jumped right off of this front cover for a mere 500 yen is an unbelievable deal, don't you think?!

In addition, we also compared this brand-new figure with a past Goku figure from the HG series.
This previous version of Goku is super cool too, but we were impressed with the evolution of the series via the implementation of awesome clear parts and pearlescent accents on the new figure's hair!

Next, we examined the Super Saiyan 3 Goku figure.
The iconic form that Goku first revealed in the battle against Majin Buu has been recreated in amazing quality here! If you use your imagination, you can almost see the sparking Ki coming off of Goku, just like in the manga!!

When it comes to the Super Saiyan 3 transformation, the first thing most fans think of is the stunningly long hair, and Goku's magnificent mane has been reproduced in all its incredible volume here. On top of that, Goku's angelic halo has also been included for even more flair!

Moving on, here's Ultra Instinct Goku.
Goku broke into the realm of godly techniques with this form, and this perfected version of the form has been recreated impeccably!

In addition to his ripped clothing, Goku's ripped upper body and back have been recreated in an incredibly heroic-looking fashion here!
This is another item you definitely won't want to miss!

Last but not least is Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku.
This is Goku's form before he manages to master Ultra Instinct, and you can practically see its aura when you look at this figure!

In particular, make sure to pay close attention to Goku's expression here!
His fierce gaze and open-mouthed roar have been molded and colored to look just like the original series!
