The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week.
This time, the focus will be on Gohan as he appeared in the feature film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'"!

Gohan is Goku’s eldest son, and when we catch up with him in the film we discover that he is leading a happy life with his wife, Videl, and their daughter, Pan.

But those peaceful days are interrupted when Frieza is resurrected and launches an invasion of Earth! To defend their home, Gohan rushes to the scene along with Piccolo!

Earth's defenders then work together to hold back Frieza’s army until Goku and Vegeta can make it back from their training on Beerus's Planet!
Gohan is able to wipe a vast portion of Frieza's forces with a single Kamehameha, which leads Frieza himself to comment on his strength, proclaiming how "That son of Goku could wipe out my thousand-man army in an instant, if he was so inclined."

With Piccolo exhausted from the long battle, Gohan takes his place in facing off against Sisami, one of Frieza’s elite warriors!
After powering up into a Super Saiyan, the half-Saiyan emerges victorious!

However, Frieza then sets his eyes on Gohan and knocks him out with one brutal punch.
Luckily, Gohan is able to recover thanks to Piccolo’s healing abilities and a Senzu Bean.

He shows up to fight in a tracksuit!
Unable to find his uniform upon Frieza’s sudden attack, Gohan shows up wearing a tracksuit he had lying around at home. When Kamesennin asks "Gohan. Have you kept up on your martial arts training at all?", he could only offer an awkward apology. Gohan continues on by saying "But I can definitely still turn Super Saiyan when I want to, maybe!", but that didn't really help his case much, either...
