The main character is Paifu, but I chose to focus on Mako Maruyama, or Makoleen,
because Akira Toriyama said this was the character he really wanted as the protagonist.

In this manga, Akira Toriyama attempted a "slightly picture book-esque" style.
The story featured a uniquely creepy, yet cute world with spooky creatures and humans living together, and the first chapter, published in Weekly Shonen Jump 1997 No. 48, was printed in full color.
