A special one-shot chapter of Dragon Ball Super is set to be published in V Jump's super-sized April edition on February 20th in Japan!
The stars of this chapter are Trunks and Goten, with the pair having been protecting the city as Saiyaman X-1 and X-2. Why did Trunks aspire to become a hero? Fans will not want to miss this prequel to the SUPER HERO arc!

So, in anticipation of this special one-shot, we will be taking a look back at Trunks and Goten's superhero activities!

The story of the arc is based on the hit movie Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO! In both the manga and the movie, Gohan, Piccolo, and the other warriors of Earth stand up against the newly revived Red Ribbon Army, who have their eyes set on world domination!
The manga also features a prequel story of a high-school-aged Trunks and Goten protecting the city as the mysterious Saiyamen! After an incident on the far-off Mt. Butterfly, a fierce battle unfolds against the androids created by the scientific genius Dr. Hedo!
The SUPER HERO arc was featured in volumes 20 to 23 of the Dragon Ball Super comics, which are available in Japan now! A sequel episode will be published as part of the 24th volume, planned to hit stores in Japan on April 4th!

Who Are the Saiyamen?

These are the alter egos adopted by Trunks and Goten as part of their efforts to safeguard the peace of the city. Trunks transforms into Saiyaman X-1 and Goten into Saiyaman X-2!
The design of the suits and the poses made by the pair both reference a superhero who appears in their favorite game, Cleangod.
Perhaps the special one-shot chapter will reveal the origin of the Saiyaman moniker, too?

Recapping Trunks and Goten's Adventures!

Next up, we'll be rewinding the tape to see all of Trunks and Goten's notable scenes from the SUPER HERO arc!

The two boys are hard at work every day defending the citizenry. Today, they even took down a group of robbers without breaking a sweat!

However, as none of those around them are aware of their secret identities, they must go to great lengths to conceal the truth.

The pair happen to run across an incident where household helper robots are being pressed into service!
The mastermind behind this incident is Dr. Hedo, who is controlling androids to obtain funds for his research. However, Trunks and Goten were not aware of this yet...

They engage the Alpha series android supervising the helper robots and put an end to the scheme! However, Trunks finds a data disc that proves to be the trigger for their next conflict...

The disc belongs to Dr. Hedo, who sends Beta 1 to their school in order to retrieve it!

With Beta 2, a battle jacket android, appearing as well, Goten transforms into Saiyaman X-2! Then the two young heroes overcome the attackers!

It transpires that the revived Red Ribbon Army have set their sights on Dr. Hedo and wish to use him to take over the world. Trunks and Goten team up with Krillin and head to Dr. Hedo's hideout in order to take him into custody.

What lies in wait for them is a battle with Dinodroid 1, who proves to be a tough fight, but they prevail heroically using a special move! With the capture of Dr. Hedo, it seems that peace has returned!

Three months later, the Red Ribbon Army recruits the newly released Dr. Hedo. They falsely claim that Goku and friends, their biggest obstacles to world domination, are members of a villainous secret society! So, in order to defeat them, Dr. Hedo creates Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Cell Max. What follows is a thrilling showdown with the Red Ribbon Army!
