When Goku, Pan, and Trunks arrived on Imegga, Don Kia immediately confiscated their ship, intending to sell it off for scrap as there wasn't anything of value in it.
After Goku and friends break into his palace to take back their spacecraft, Don Kia blames his bodyguards for the situation, shouting, "...all of this happens right under the noses of my most highly paid military experts?!! What a bunch of useless twits!" Then he docks their salaries in order to pay for any repairs to his palace.

Intent on saving the oppressed citizens of the planet, Goku and his friends fight their way into Don Kia's room in the palace. There, Don Kia fights back using weapons hidden around the room, then demands that his bodyguard Redgic get rid of Goku and his crew.

As Goku and Redgic fight, all Don Kia can do is watch from the sidelines while bemoaning the destruction of his palace.

Although Goku and Redgic finish their fight amicably, Don Kia desperately scrounges up the money scattered around his office and offers it to Redgic, pleading, "I've been saving this for you...finish them and it will be all yours!" to which Redgic responds, "Didn’t your mother tell you? Money isn't everything!"

Finally, with no other options left, Don Kia apologizes, vowing, "There will be no more rent! I'll give you the contracts to prove it!"
