The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This time, we're looking at the writhing, wriggling Worm Family!

The Worm Family is a family of slithery parasitic worms who reside inside Majin Buu. After Gohan and the others are absorbed by Majin Buu, Goku and Vegeta infiltrate his insides in an effort to rescue them. Flat Head, the older of the worm brothers, attacks the pair but is then quickly defeated by Goku.

The younger of the two brothers, Rounder, then rushes over to aid his downed sibling and cries out, "Daddy!", which causes their father to appear. Flat Head grumbles that, "Those two guys were picking on me!" Sensing danger, Vegeta attempts to strike first, only to have all his energy blasts absorbed by the father worm.

With the father worm closing in, it appears all is lost for the two Saiyans. However, the father worm then chews out his two sons, snapping, "No one likes little smart alecks!" and, "How many times have I told you never to leave the pack?"

Although the Saiyan pair believed the worms to be villainous monsters, it turns out the Worm Family is actually quite friendly. When Goku asks them about the whereabouts of Gohan and the others, the worms helpfully point the two in the right direction. However, the worm family is then swept away into the unknown by Majin Buu's potty time.

"Dragon Ball Z" Episode 273
These foes frighten Vegeta?!
Vegeta appears to detest anything that slithers and is therefore thoroughly disgusted by the Worm Family. When the father worm bemoans that his sons "both have a bad habit of trying to eat anything that moves," an irate Vegeta barks back, "You should teach those little ingrates better manners!"

→Preview: Next week's character also has a body that wriggles around like the Worm Family!
