Maki - Dragon Ball Super -
The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week.
This time, we're looking at Maki from "Dragon Ball Super".
Story
The eldest sister of The Heeters, a four-sibling organization plotting to rule the universe through wealth and information.
She has a strong-willed personality and is primarily in charge of front-line missions such as negotiation and espionage.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 68)
Granolah, who had been used as a bounty hunter by The Heeters, uses the power of the Dragon Balls to obtain the greatest strength in the universe.
Oil tries to stop Granolah, who attempts to force out information on the whereabouts of his sworn enemy Frieza, but is completely outmatched by his strength.
"I'll rip you apart and see what you're made of", Maki says as she jumps in to help. She attacks Granolah with swift movements, but in a brief moment of vulnerability, her hands are tied by Granolah's scarf, and she is saved by Gas.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 70)
The leader, Elec, grows wary of Granolah's strength and schemes to have him fight Goku and Vegeta, who are obstacles to their universal domination, hoping they will take each other out.
He lies to Chichi, offering to pay if they defeat the universe's greatest villain, Granolah, and has her call Goku.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 71)
Furthermore, they infiltrate Capsule Corporation and steal the Dragon Radar. Putting on an excellent performance, she sends Goku and Vegeta off, deceiving Granolah into believing the two are Frieza's underlings when she brings them together.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 71)
While Goku and the others are engaged in a fierce battle with Granolah, on Elec's orders, she gathers the Dragon Balls on Planet Cereal to power up her younger brother Gas into the greatest warrior in the universe.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 78)
Worried about Gas fighting a fierce deathmatch with Goku, she pleads with Elec, "Let's get outta here!", but her plea is ignored.
(Dragon Ball Super: Tale 87)
Elec then summons Frieza, intending for Gas to defeat him, but his plan is exposed and fails.
By Frieza's arrangement, Maki and Oil are allowed to work as kitchen staff aboard the army's ship.

Trivia
Zuno's Type!
In order to find out Goku's "weakness", she heads to Zuno, the all-knowing sage of the universe.
To ask Zuno a question, one must give him a kiss as a present. It seems Zuno prefers strong-willed women, so surprisingly, Maki was granted 10 questions. By the way, when Bulma visited previously, she was only granted three.

→Preview: Next week's character is someone with lovely purple hair, just like Maki!
