Guarana
He's a manga-original character that I introduced
in the Dragon Ball Super manga after the Beerus arc!
Since he's meant to be a stronger character than Sisami,
I went with a tough-looking gorilla character.

This is a special series where we feature sketches drawn by Toyotarou, the co-creator of V Jump's ongoing series Dragon Ball Super!
This illustration features "Guarana"!

He's the number two powerhouse in the Frieza Force led by Sorbet. After discovering a Super Dragon Ball in the far reaches of space, he tried to report it to headquarters, but was destroyed along with his Spaceship by Champa, who happened to be there. Had he remained alive and well, one can only wonder what kind of fight he would have put up with his imposing physique...

In the story, he appeared at the end of "Dragon Ball Super" Volume 1, Tale 4, "Battle of Gods". Be sure to check out his appearance in the manga volume too!

Stay tuned for the next illustration!
