The World Travelogue series is where we shine the spotlight on some of the most memorable locations in the world of Dragon Ball. This time, we'll be exploring a secret location tucked away in a cave in the north: Dr. Gero's Laboratory.

Concealed in a mountainous area sparsely populated with coniferous trees, this secret laboratory is where Dr. Gero created many of his Androids. Once a part of the Red Ribbon Army, Dr. Gero used this laboratory to develop his own Androids after the army was taken down by Goku. Beneath the main laboratory is the supercomputer Dr. Gero used to create the ultimate Android, Cell, from the cells of Goku, Piccolo, and many other skilled fighters.

〇Android 20 (Dr. Gero)
Dr. Gero researched and developed Androids here in order to defeat Goku. He also went so far as to turn himself into an Android in an attempt to attain eternal life, but was ultimately destroyed by one of his own creations, Android 17.

〇Android 17 & Android 18
These human-based Androids were created by Dr. Gero. However, he feared their immense power and ended up putting them into stasis.

〇Android 16
Android 16 is a completely synthetic Android built by Dr. Gero. He has a soft spot for birds and flowers.

〇Cell
Cell is an Android created from the cells of a range of great warriors. Dr. Gero used a tiny spy robot the size of a bee to gather their cell data.

〇North City (West of Dr. Gero's Laboratory)
North City is the largest city in the northern part of the world. Krillin and his friends passed by it during their aerial search for Dr. Gero's Laboratory.

〇Village Where Android 18 Stole Clothes (South of Dr. Gero's Laboratory)
This is the village where the Androids went after their clothes were ruined during their battle with Vegeta. As one might expect from a village in the north, it was covered in snow and freezing cold.

So there you have it! By the way, the island that Android 19 and Android 20 (Dr. Gero) first assaulted is located way down near South City, so after Android 19 was destroyed by Vegeta, Dr. Gero would have had to trek an incredibly long distance to escape back to his lab. He must have legs of steel!
