Fearing Granolah's newly unlocked power, Elec plots to have him face off with Goku and Vegeta and, in the process, rid himself of three potentially deadly adversaries who may interfere with his plans of dominating the universe.

Granolah is led to believe that Goku and Vegeta, who were travelling toward Planet Cereal, are assassins sent by Frieza. With revenge finally within his reach, Granolah launches a fierce attack on the Saiyans upon their arrival.
Goku and Vegeta are overwhelmed by Granolah's unprecedented power, and with one clean shot to his most vulnerable spot, Goku goes down.

...but Granolah's adoptive Namekian father, Monaito, appears at the last moment to put an end to Granolah's rage-fueled rampage. He then delivers a shocking truth: that it was a Saiyan named Bardock who had saved Granolah's life 40 years ago!
