The World Travelogue series is where we shine the spotlight on some of the most memorable locations in the world of Dragon Ball. This time, we'll be taking a look at Uranai Baba's Palace, located on the peninsula in the southwestern part of the central continent.

Uranai Baba's Palace was built on a lake in the desert. Goku came here after utterly destroying the Red Ribbon Army in search of a Dragon Ball that didn't appear on his Dragon Radar. Along with the central martial arts arena outside is the Devil's Cesspool, an indoor fighting area with a poison-filled swamp. Uranai Baba recruits skilled martial artists from the Another World to battle her customers and offers free readings to any who can beat them. Goku and his friends decided to battle rather than paying the fee, and our hero was able to briefly re-unite with his late adoptive father, Grandpa Gohan.

〇Uranai Baba
This infallible fortune teller is Kamesennin's older sister. To get a reading from her, one must either pay 10,000,000 Zeni or beat five opponents of her choosing in battle.

〇Grandpa Gohan
Grandpa Gohan, Goku's adoptive father, was able to return to the world of the living for one day thanks to Uranai Baba's power. He fought a match against Goku and was thrilled to see his growth and progress.

〇Draculaman
Draculaman is one of Uranai Baba's fighters and a Muay Thai kickboxer. He managed to knock out Krillin with his blood-sucking attack but was ultimately done in by Pual and Upa's clever tactics.

〇Suke San
Another one of Uranai Baba's fighters, Suke San is an invisible man. When he battled against Yamcha, he made full use of his invisibility to control the match and looked as though he'd take the win, but Kamesennin had a sudden explosive nosebleed and the blood revealed his location, allowing Yamcha to finally land an attack and end the match.

〇Miira Kun
This martial-arts mummy is another fighter recruited by Uranai Baba. He used his power and speed to overwhelm Yamcha but was no match for Goku, who knocked him out in a single punch.

〇Akkuman
Akkuman is the fourth of Uranai Baba's fighters and a two-time Tenkaichi Budokai champion. An actual devil who was born in hell, he can use the Beam of Evil technique to make the evil in his opponent's heart expand until it explodes and destroys them.

Surrounding Area

〇Site of the Battle against Pilaf (South of Uranai Baba's Palace)
This area is about 200 km away from Uranai Baba's Palace. The Pilaf Gang had put the One-Star Ball in a special case so that it wouldn't appear on the Dragon Radar.

〇Namu's Village (Northwest of Uranai Baba's Palace)
This is the hometown of Namu, who took the stage in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. The villagers there try to live lives of self-sufficiency but were suffering from a severe water shortage.

And there you have it! This area full of wastelands and desert doesn't exactly seem like prime real estate, does it? By the way, the site of the battle against Pilaf is the most southwestern location that has appeared in the series.
