The World Travelogue series is where we shine the spotlight on some of the most memorable locations in the world of Dragon Ball. In today's article, we'll be dropping into Kame House on its island in the southern seas to take a look around!

Kame House is situated on a small island among those in the archipelago south of the central continent. Before Goku showed up to be trained in Kame School martial arts, Kamesennin lived there with only Umigame the sea turtle for company, but since then it has become much livelier with Krillin and Lunch moving in, Tenshinhan coming around to eat before their battle with King Piccolo, and it even served as the launch point for Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan's space expedition to Planet Namek! The house itself has two floors and can also be stored in a Hoipoi Capsule and relocated if need be.

〇Kamesennin
Kamesennin, also known as Mu-ten Roshi or "Master" Roshi for his legendary proficiency in martial arts, is the owner of Kame House. He actually has a whole closet full of the turtle shells he wears on his back and will change into one of his nicer shells when entertaining female company.

〇Umigame
Umigame is a sentient sea turtle and long-standing friend and housemate of Kamesennin. He left Kame House one day to forage for mushrooms but somehow got lost and couldn't find his way back for over a year. Luckily, he encountered Goku and Bulma in his wandering and was able to return home with their help.

〇Lunch
Lunch was brought to Kame House by Goku and Krillin when they were tasked by Kamesennin with bringing a beautiful girl before him in order to be judged worthy of his training. She continued to live there until leaving to follow Tenshinhan around 5 years before Raditz attacked Earth.

〇Krillin
Krillin became a student of Kame School martial arts under Kamesennin with Goku and has continued to live at Kame House since then. Even after getting together with Android 18 and having a daughter, Maaron, around the time of the battle against Majin Buu, the three of them continued to live at Kame House as a family rather than move into a house of their own.

〇Blue Company Temporary Quarters (East of Kame House)
This is where General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army established his company's camp while searching for the Dragon Balls, one of which they had pinpointed as being somewhere nearby, hidden underwater.

〇Penguin Village (East of Kame House)
This is Arale Norimaki's home village and also the location where Goku pursued General Blue to after the latter stole his Dragon Ball. Baby Turbo also fixed the group's broken Dragon Radar here.

〇Training Island (Southeast of Kame House)
This is the island where Goku and Krillin underwent their tutelage in Kame School martial arts, which consisted of not only fighting techniques but also physical strength and endurance training as well as general education. The island is also close to the one that Kame House is on, so Kamesennin also comes here often to purchase food and supplies.

〇Island Where Piccolo Fought Android 17 (Southwest of Kame House)
Piccolo drew the Androids away to this island to buy time for Goku, who was suffering from the effects of the heart virus. The entire island was destroyed by Piccolo in one devastating attack during his battle with Android 17.

And there you have it! There's occasionally a table and chairs set up outside of Kame House too, so you can imagine Goku and the gang sometimes just kicking back on the beach with a cool drink while enjoying the sunshine. It'd be like visiting a tropical resort!
