His chance finally came when he learned that Frieza had been resurrected, and so he sought out the Cerealian Dragon Balls and wished to become the strongest warrior in the universe! His wish was granted, but at the grave cost of dramatically shortening his own lifespan.

The boss of the Heeters, a man named Elec with ambitions of conquering the universe, became wary of Granolah's newfound strength, and he also determined that the Saiyans Goku and Vegeta posed a significant threat to his plans. In an attempt to solve both of his problems in one fell swoop, Elec orchestrated a scheme to have the three come into conflict and, with any luck, destroy each other without him having to lift a finger.

All according to Elec's plot, a fight broke out between Granolah and Goku and Vegeta when the Saiyans came to Planet Cereal. At first, Granolah seemed to be in full control of the battle thanks to his ability to see his opponent's weak spots and exploit them with pinpoint attacks, but that wouldn't work forever! Soon, the Saiyans turned the tables on Granolah—Goku with his refined Ultra Instinct, and Vegeta with his new power attained through training with Lord Beerus, "Ultra Ego"!

In the midst of their fierce battle, a Namekian who lives with Granolah on Planet Cereal named Monaito appeared, hoping to put an end to their fighting by revealing the truth about what really happened when the Frieza Force attacked 40 years ago.
In the shocking revelation, it turns out that the Heeters were responsible for the invasion of Planet Cereal, and worse still, the one who killed Granolah's mother was no Saiyan but instead the leader of the Heeters himself, Elec!

In the wake of Granolah's world being shaken to its core by Monaito's story, the true villains, the Heeters, stepped out from the shadows to see Elec's plan reach fruition. And to make sure the job gets done, Elec had used the Cerealian Dragon Balls to wish for his brother, Gas, to become the new strongest warrior in the universe!

Having become even stronger than Granolah, Gas overwhelmed Goku and the others with ease. Granolah was knocked out by a powerful attack from Gas, but Vegeta rushed to his aid and delivered a rousing speech that gave the Cerealian the resolve he needed to stand and face Gas once more!
