Welcome back to the Namek Editorial, where the magnificence and mystique of Namekians is eloquently explained to the people of Earth by the lead writer for the site's Namek branch!

AnimeJapan 2022, one of the largest anime events in the world, was held in Japan over two days on March 26–27! During the expo, Toei Animation's booth contained a special exhibit called "Movie Prep with Director Kodama," where fans could check out various materials from Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO's production accompanied by comments from the movie's director, Tetsuro Kodama. In this article, we'll be sleuthing through the movie info that was released in order to verify what we know so far!

This is the recently unveiled full-body artwork of Piccolo dressed in a Red Ribbon Army uniform to infiltrate the villainous organization's headquarters!
His otherwise conspicuous green skin is neatly covered by the gloves and mask, making this the perfect disguise for our Namekian hero, and it's also a rare treat for fans like us to be able to see him in clothes other than his standard outfit. This image goes to show that Piccolo really does look fantastic in just about anything!

We can also see that he's wielding one of the Red Ribbon Army's cutting-edge laser rifles that's loaded with some kind of gas cylinder instead of a magazine!
Toriyama designed the uniform and came up with all the fine details about how the laser rifle works, and then director Kodama was the one to bring them to life and add his own personal touches.

From the back, you can see that Piccolo's also carrying a holstered sidearm on his right hip. The high-spec uniform was designed with a lot of pockets too, so you never know what other surprises he might be packing!

And it wouldn't be the Red Ribbon Army without a splash of red in the pallet, which has been tastefully included on the helmet covering Piccolo's pointy Namekian ears! There seems to be another variant of the uniform with a cap instead of a helmet too, based on the other Red Ribbon grunts we've seen so far.

This charming little carapace-like abode on the riverfront is Piccolo's house. If you look closely, you'll see that its unique architecture isn't the only thing special about it either—it appears to glimmer in all the colors of the rainbow! The element of mystique added by this small detail is perfect for a character like Piccolo, whose previous address was the otherworldly Kami's Palace.

The movie's dedicated production team also went so far as to consider the material used in its construction, which is apparently some kind of highly pliable mortar. Whatever it's made of, we just hope it can stand up to the explosive battle that appears to unfold nearby!

Positioned just shy of the precipice of a sheer cliff and surrounded by craggy pillars and mountains, you'd think that Piccolo's house is somewhat off the grid, but it does in fact have a registered address! It's been kept out of the public domain to spare Piccolo the trouble of being mobbed by ravenous fans such as ourselves on a daily basis, but as you can see, he does have a mailbox right by the doorstep.

There was even a special exhibit at AnimeJapan 2022 with a model of Piccolo's home showing just that! Seeing it in the real world also served to reaffirm just how charming the design is.
