The DRAGON BALL LEGENDS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2025-2026 FINALS was held on February 7th, with the 1st STAGE for the tournament held on July 27th, 2025. The TOP 8 players from around the world who made it through the online preliminaries gathered to clash for the number-one spot!

In this report, we'll cover the venue that had LEGENDS fans excited, along with highlights from the historic, unforgettable battles that took place!

Upon entering the venue, visitors were greeted by character standees featuring different LEGENDS characters from throughout the years! From taking photos with their favorite characters to reminiscing about the game's long history, there was something for every fan to enjoy!

The FINALS-exclusive giveaways were also extravagant and included a tote bag, an acrylic stand, thundersticks, and a blanket! The blanket is so big that when you hold it out, you can only see your knees! Plus, attendees even received an in-game Title!

As excited attendees stepped into the match area, they were greeted by the seven specially made Dragon Balls, displayed center stage and waiting for the world champion to take home!

A Surprise Right From the Start!

E-sports commentator Yu Minakami took the stage as emcee to kick off the opening remarks, followed by producer TANI and advertisement producer ONE TOUCH, who outlined the tournament's schedule.

The eight players who made it to the FINALS then took center stage, welcomed by attendees clapping the thundersticks given to them. The same sound resounded throughout the venue whenever fans reacted to an amazing play.

The players received cheers not just from the crowd, but also from the voice of Goku herself, Masako Nozawa! The excitement in the venue surged to new heights with her message, "Give it everything you've got, and leave with no regrets!"

Thrilling Double-Elimination Matches!

The matches finally began! Each match was held in a best-of-three double elimination format. Losing a single match meant you still had a chance to turn the tide, but two losses meant elimination from the tournament. This format set the stage for an unforgettable GRAND FINAL.

Almost no matches ended in a clean sweep. Each battle went down to the very last timer count, producing one intense battle after another. In particular, the third battle in WINNERS ROUND 1-2 was an incredible, high-level matchup, with each player reading the other! When the timer count reached zero, WASHIMO came out on top with a damage difference of only 150,000!

Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super, released on January 28th, was one of the standout characters in the tournament. He has a Special Arts that creates ghosts that allow for up to three Autocounters to activate! It's an incredibly powerful Arts that can be comboed into a Special Move Arts after the Autocounter activates!

In the first battle of WINNERS ROUND 1-3, DEAN was hit with a Rising Rush, leaving only one character left standing and six timer counts remaining. Despite the Element disadvantage, DEAN activated Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super's Rising Rush, and by nullifying Element disadvantages, he pulled off an incredible comeback and secured the victory!

The first battle of the WINNERS FINAL showcased an impressive fight against the Regeneration party led by Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super! With skillfully executed Charge Attacks, well-timed dodges, and amazing reads on the switches, AMEDAMA's Sagas From the Movies party seized the victory.

An Exciting Bingo and a Joyful CHANCE TIME!

Outside of the matches, there were also other fun events to get livestream viewers excited. One of them was the FINALS-Exclusive Special Bingo! When an event on the bingo card happened during a FINALS match, it would get checked off, and for every bingo, all users got 50 Chrono Crystals!

Not only that, but during one of the intermissions, TOSHI, the producer who has regrettably retired from the LEGENDS REVEALS & STUFF (an info release broadcast), made an appearance and took on the role of TANI's assistant for the CHANCE TIME Drawing.

CHANCE TIME Drawing is an event where players exchange tickets for a numbered Chance Ball of their choice. Depending on the winning number drawn at the FINALS, users could win amazing rewards such as Chrono Crystals. Producer TANI drew the fateful numbers and the lucky winners burst into cheers!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Showdown: The GRAND FINALS

HII and DEAN, who previously fought in WINNERS SEMI FINAL 2-2, faced each other once again at the GRAND FINAL. With DEAN winning the previous match, he only needed to win one best-of-three to be crowned the world champion. If HII wins the best-of-three, the GRAND FINAL will reset, and a rematch will decide the world champion once and for all.

The GRAND FINAL was intense from the very first battle! HII kicked things off by knocking out Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super with a Rising Rush. In the second half of the battle, he launched a relentless attack with Strike Arts that truly tested his skill and then wrapped things up with a high-damage Orange Piccolo Special Move Arts!

DEAN kept his composure, using Orange Piccolo to overpower his opponent and claim victory in the second battle. But, with HII striking back in the third battle, the GRAND FINAL was reset, setting up a true final showdown!

DEAN took the first battle in the rematch, putting him ahead, with HII winning the second battle! Neither player gave an inch, each winning one battle, leading to a final showdown between the two. It was exactly like Saiyans who grow stronger after every setback!

The third battle was the ultimate showdown to decide the champion! Each player had only one character left on the battlefield and continued pulling off top-level plays, making the crowd cheer in excitement. HII's Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Goku landed a Rising Rush on DEAN's Ultimate Gohan Absorbed Buu: Super, but it was successfully defended against! Immediately after, DEAN activated his Ultimate Arts followed by a Rising Rush, seemingly on the verge of claiming victory, but HII managed to successfully defend against that as well! The intense back-and-forth, with only nine timer counts remaining, made this a battle to remember!

HII achieved victory and took home the World Champion's trophy, an award plaque, and the seven Dragon Balls. The other seven players, who put on an amazing fight, were also given award plaques and a big round of applause!

A New LEGEND Rarity Is Here!

After the awards ceremony, an announcement was made regarding DRAGON BALL LEGENDS being certified by Guinness World Records® for having the "most playable characters of player vs player action game"! With a total of 676 playable characters, even after crowning the world's strongest player, there'll still be more to come!

The final big announcement was about the latest major update which introduced the brand-new LEGEND rarity! This new rarity features an exclusive action called a LEGEND Action that can be comboed into Special Moves and Ultimate Arts! The new Superior Elements deal 1.75x damage with an Element advantage, so they're even more powerful than normal Elements! Plus, certain battle actions have ink-brush effects and illustrations will change up to three times depending on the Limit Break, making the game even more exciting to play!
