From the Jan-Ken (Rock, Scissors, Paper) of Grandpa Gohan, to the Kamehameha learned from watching Kamesennin, all the way to techniques unleashed during the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku's special moves are full of his distinctive personality! Let's take a look at them!

Kamehameha

The signature technique of Kame School martial arts. The user concentrates the latent energy inside their body and releases it in a single powerful blast from their hands.
Goku was able to learn the Kamehameha by merely watching Kamesennin perform it once!

First Appearance: Tale 15 (Used on the Fiat 695)

Goku was even able to use his Kamehameha to counter the one used by Kamesennin (disguised as Jackie Chun), the original creator of the technique!

From Tale 47 (21st Tenkaichi Budokai VS Jackie Chun)

Kyo-Ken (Mad Fury Attack)

This is a move where Goku takes on the aspect of a wild, rampaging dog and charges toward his opponent. He came up with this attack on the fly to deal with Jackie Chun's Sui-Ken (Phony Drunk Attack). Goku's wild dog act was so convincing that it scared Jackie enough to create an opening for him to strike! It's a startling technique that only a natural-born wild child like Goku could pull off.

First Appearance: Tale 48 (21st Tenkaichi Budokai VS Jackie Chun)

Saru-Ken (Crazy Monkey Technique)

An attack where the user acts like a monkey, dodging and hopping around, goading and befuddling their opponent. Goku was able to earn Jackie Chun's ire with this technique's unpredictable movements, such as using his tail to trip him over and scratching at his face.

Zanzo-Ken: Sanju Zanzo-Ken (Triple Afterimage)

This technique employs incredibly fast movements to produce afterimages of the user and disorient their opponent. Goku performs the Triple Afterimage after being on the receiving end of Jackie Chun's "Zanzo-Ken: Niju Zanzo-Ken (Double Afterimage)" and deciding to take it up a notch by adding a third illusion, fooling even the old master himself!

Jan-Ken (Rock, Scissors, Paper)

A three-hit combo attack where the user punches on "rock", pokes their opponent in the eyes on "scissors", and strikes with an open hand on "paper". Goku learned this move from his adoptive parent and martial arts mentor, Grandpa Son Gohan.
