The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This week's character is the despicable Frieza in his First Form!

Story

Boasting a Power Level of 530,000, Lord Frieza is the embodiment of evil and the "Emperor of the Universe".
Leading an army of powerful warriors assembled from countless worlds, including the likes of fearsome Saiyans like Vegeta, Frieza seeks to exert his will on the universe and dominate as many planets as he can.

In the pursuit of acquiring eternal life, Frieza launches an attack on Planet Namek hoping to assemble its Dragon Balls.
Accompanied by his loyal subjects Zarbon and Dodoria, Frieza mercilessly eliminates any and all Namekians who dare resist him.

But Frieza isn't the only one hunting Dragon Balls on Planet Namek. With Vegeta also seeking eternal life and Krillin & Gohan having arrived from Earth aiming to resurrect their fallen allies, the war for control of the Dragon Balls quickly erupts into chaos.

Summoning the Ginyu Force to come to his aid, Frieza spectacularly succeeds in assembling all seven Dragon Balls. He does everything in his power to force the Namekian warrior Nail to reveal how to use the Dragon Balls, but has them stolen from right under his nose by Krillin and the others, who use them to have their wish granted before Frieza ever gets the chance!

Realizing his bid for eternal life had been thwarted by Vegeta and the others, Frieza's rage explodes, and he launches himself into battle with a blinding fury.
