The Weekly ☆ Character Showcase is an article series where we introduce one character from the Dragon Ball universe each week. This week we're dropping in with a little alien with big ambitions, Babidi!

Babidi is the child of the evil wizard responsible for creating Majin Buu, Bibidi.
He despises the Supreme Kai, who defeated his father, and aspires to resurrect Majin Buu.

A master of manipulating those of an evil nature, Babidi forced Yamu and Spopovich into competing in the Tenkaichi Budokai in order to gather the energy required to resurrect Majin Buu. When Yamu and Spopovich were no longer of use, Babidi mercilessly disposed of them, revealing how ruthless he can be.

With the vast quantity of energy released in the battle between the two Saiyans, Babidi succeeds in resurrecting Majin Buu.
Babidi is overjoyed as he watches Majin Buu make light work of Gohan, the Supreme Kai, and even Vegeta, but his elation is cut short when Piccolo's anger erupts, and he slices Babidi clean in two.

Majin Buu uses his power to revive Babidi and the pair proceed to annihilate town after town, hoping to sniff out Piccolo and the others. However, bombarded by Bibidi's relentless orders, Majin Buu begins to seethe with a frustrated rage that builds until culminating in him turning on his master and destroying him.

Papparapa!
Babidi chants "Papparapa!" and casts this spell to turn the battlefield into the optimal fighting environment for his underlings.

Trivia

A weakling without his magic?

When Babidi threatened Majin Buu by saying that he would seal him away once again should he disobey his orders, Majin Buu throttles Babidi to the point where he could no longer cast his spells. In the end, Babidi went down without much of a fight.
